Friday's child is loving and giving - BerryTree Photography : Roswell GA, Newborn Photographer

Ever heard of this little poem? I of course was born on a wonderful Wednesday..."full of woe". In fact, both my brothers were born on Wednesdays as well! I guess my mom had her hands full with us! But miss Marissa here was a Friday baby...sounds like she is starting off on a much better foot than I was at birth!

Monday's Child is fair of face,
Tuesday's Child is full of grace,
Wednesday's Child is full of woe,
Thursday's Child has far to go,
Friday's Child is loving and giving,
Saturday's Child works hard for a living,
But the Child that is born on the Sabbath Day,
Is witty and wise and good and gay!

Little Marissa couldn't have been a better baby. When I arrived she was sleeping sweetly, but by the time I got set up, she was wide awake again. Mom gave her a little more to eat and she was out cold for the next hour and a half! What a perfect little one! We got some great shots including my favorite of her in momma's hands! So precious! Thanks for having me over to capture your beautiful little one!

I LOVE the outfits that this family wore! We first started with a little bit of a sweet country look at the Rock Barn in Canton, and then headed to explore downtown Canton for more of an Urban look! What a sweet sweet age! 1st Birthday sessions are so fun! It is so rewarding to be able capture this age when mom is just beaming with pride at her little one - SO proud that she is growing up into a big girl and at the same time, remembering that she will ALWAYS be her baby! Thank you Molly for such a wonderful session! You, your mama, and grandma were a blast to hang out with and super sweet as well!!

Meet Lily Margaret! Isn't she adorable? Her momma was my roommate freshman and sophomore year in college. I got to go visit them and take pictures yesterday when Lily was only 21 hours old! I just love her little lips...so stinkin sweet!

If you would like pictures similar to these of your little one within hours of their birth please contact me. I am now offering "hospital" (or home birth) sessions as part of my "MyFirst Session" (baby plan from maternity to 18 months). They change SO much in those first few days, this is a great way to remember them so fresh and tiny forever!

We had so much fun last time that we decided to get together again but for a studio session this time! It's always a bit crazy when 15 photographers decide to get together, but we had a fabulous time and some wonderful models! Here are some of my images from the day! enjoy!

Neborns and babies are some of my absloute favorite to photograph! I perfer to photograph newborns (and younger babies) in just their fresh new skin as clothing tends to distract from all of their perfect little details! However, I ADORE hats on newborns! I have a bunch I will bring with me to the session, however I always recommend finding some that fit you and your style. Below I have shown a few examples of hats as well as other examples of what newborns and babies should wear! I sure can! This family just oozed it! This session was gifted to the family by a good friend of mine, Katie. Katie described the family to me as "the most wholesome all american people you'll ever meet! and quite possibly the nicest!" and I couldn't agree more! Joey and Amanda...I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! I had a great time meeting you both and your kids are just too precious for words!

Photography Phun with Phriends! - BerryTree Photography : Atlanta, GA photographer

I really can't stand when people spell things wrong to be cute (ex. Klassy Kidz), but I'm in a weird mood today...so I'm rolling with it! I met up with about 15 other photographer phriends (ok...getting annoying/old I know!) and headed out to Lithia Springs to take some pictures at the Sweetwater Ruins. We hiked through the woods, camera equiment (and a chair) in hand only to find out once we got there that the ruins were enclosed behind a huge padlocked fence! Well...we turned lemons into lemonade and decided to have fun anyway! Despite the heat and harsh sunlight...we had a great time and had a bunch of cuties to model for us! Here's a few of my shots...enjoy!

What to Wear Wednesdays!

I've seen this idea on a few photography blogs and I LOVE it! So...I'm stealing (err...borrowing..) it and I am going to *try* to post What to Wear ideas/suggestions each Wednesday. Your family's wardrobe can really help to spice up your photos if done properly. Personally, I prefer that families coordinate and "go" with each other rather than wear matchy matchy outfits. I've created two mock-ups below. You will see that one family can have a variety of looks depending on their wardrobe choices. All outfits below can be purchased from GAP but they are merely suggestions. Stay tuned for next weeks What to Wear installment where we will feature a different store and a different family.
